This year’s Bike Boulevard Scavenger Hunt was a huge success!  Beautiful autumn weather inspired over 70 riders (mostly families with children of all ages) to scour the cycling friendly roads of Glastonbury in search of the “secret stops” to collect tickets for the prize drawing held at the Applefest.  The grand prize once again was a free bicycle donated by Bicycles East.

The weather wasn’t the only reason for the large turn-out.  New this year to our event was a Bike Rodeo.  Thanks to volunteers from the Glastonbury Police Department, several families navigated an obstacle course behind the Academy Building.  The rodeo was a fun way for less experienced riders to learn about safety before heading out to enjoy the Scavenger Hunt.
