Exciting news: the Smith School Greenway is now open for use!

The grand opening ceremony was held Saturday, May 26th.  See pictures of the opening by clicking on the link under “Latest News” on the right column of this screen.

The trail is a first step in a continuing partnership with the town to provide safe trails and walkways throughout town for walking, running, cycling and other forms of human-powered recreation and transportation.  Other projects on our agenda include a connection from the Western Blvd./Winding Brook Dr. area to House St. and a connection from the Bell St. end of the trail to the path along Hebron Ave. from Harvest Lane to Buckingham Park.  We have also been active suporters of the proposed pedestrian walkway being added to the Putnam Bridge.
